What would/should be the sludge consistency present in a thickened sludge from a fertilizer industry effluent?
The plant capacity is 75 KLD and the sludge flow rate is 1.5KLD with a COD of 10000 in the inlet effluent
Much appreciated.

The process thought is activated sludge process. Therefore for 6day sludge age the value of F/M will be around 0.2. Secondary sludge generation will be between 0.7 to 0.75 kg/kg of BOD applied. Please contact me on rvsveipl@gmail.com for further discussion.

Is your system an activated sludge system? If so it will depend entirely on the type of press or centrifuge you are using. You should be able to achieve a 20-25% solids from the pressed solids.

@Don Sharpe yes it is an activated sludge system. My concern is how much will be the consistency before passing it through the filter press.

What treatment process are you using?

@John Fagan We have decided to use conventional activated sludge system with 3000 mg/L MLSS Content and sludge age of 6 days.
