About

I am not a trained Water Engineer, neither am I a trained Water Scientist (both of which would be best careers for me), but I am a passionately Concerned Water User. Like any other human being (perhaps more than any other human being on planet earth) I cannot do without water! I use water daily for my personal well-being (bathing, drinking, sanitary use, gardening, etc). Sounds obvious and too simple? Not really that simple for me, because reliable and safe supply of water has become a daily nightmare where I live. I must participate somewhere in the water sector! I must be involved somewhere, and through the water network i will soon identify the special role I can play.

By profession, I am a Town Planner currently working for a local Town Council (under Ministry of Local Government) in Zambia. For close to eleven (11) years I have worked as a Town Planner under the same ministry. I have also participated in a multi-stakeholder water conservation project at City Government level (2012-2017). During that project experience, I interacted on various project platforms with experts (officers directly involved) in the water and sanitation sector. I also learned that effective land-use planning in urban settlements can protect catchment areas against pollution.
